Corey Millen Biography

Corey Millen is one of the most popular and richest Ice Hockey Player who was born on March 30, 1964 in Cloquet, Minnesota, United States. In 1997, he was a member of in 1997 the Cologne Sharks of Germany’s Deutsche Eishockey Liga. He was a player with the team in Cologne until the close in the season 2001/02. In 2002-03, he relocated to Switzerland and was a part of HC Lugano of the Nationalliga A for a single season. He was a second year with Nationalliga B ECH Visp before retiring from hockey in 2004.

In 2011, he became the head coach of the Alaska Avalanche in the North American Hockey League (NAHL). He then was head coach of the Minnesota Wilderness in the NAHL from 2013 to 2016.

Millen began the first phase of his National Hockey League career with the Rangers in 1990 . He played in four games. Millen also played for the Los Angeles Kings, New Jersey Devils, Dallas Stars and Calgary Flames.

After four years at the University of Minnesota he moved to Europe where he was a part of the Swiss Hockey League A, from 1987 until 1989 alongside Dale McCourt, with the jersey of HC Ambri-Piotta (RS: GP 41 36 G 25 A Playoffs GP 12-12 G 8 A). In the middle of this time, he relocated back in his home in the U.S. where he started his NHL career with the NYR.

Millen was sent to the Calgary Flames along with Jarome Iginla in the trade which sent Joe Nieuwendyk to the Dallas Stars. He left the NHL after the 1997 season.
